THACS and Tewin Writers Online produced and published a fine little booklet entitled “Lockdown Times and Tales”, consisting of 25 stories and poems that have appeared on the Tewin village website during Spring & Summer 2020, including the three winners of the Autumn writing competition. The writings give an entertaining and interesting insight into how Tewin residents have been dealing with the challenges and impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic and its associated restrictions. Highly recommended for blowing away those lockdown blues!
The booklets were sold for £2 each, in aid of local charities. The two charities to benefit are Moorfields NHS Trust and the Digswell Community and Gardening Project http://www.digswell.org.uk/). It provides learning activities for vulnerable youngsters in a secure environment and it needs your support even more during these difficult times.
The booklets were sold through local outlets, including Tewin Stores, Bumpkins, Tewin Bury, Mimram Tailors and Datchworth Stores. A few remaining Copies can also be bought by emailing THACS.sales@gmail.com with your name and contact details. Cash or online payment can be made.
Autumn / Winter 2020 brough more online poetry and prose from Tewin Writers Online. And all pieces are now accompanied by audio from the authors.
