    Tewin Community Bus (Saturdays)

    Please continue to contact Ann Kevis to book a place and to pay your Fare (£2.50 single, £5 return. Under 18s half price).
    The bus will run on Saturdays only from the Rose & Crown, from 13th November 2021.
    It will leave Tewin at 9.30am to take you to Welwyn Garden City (via Welwyn North if requested) and will stop at LIDL, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s and then return from Welwyn Garden City at 11.45am.

    Medical Services Transport This is the first point of contact for non emergency hospital transport.
    A prioritised service based on assessed medical, mobility or support needs and where no other transport, such as family, friends, taxi or voluntary car scheme is available. It is a prioritised service based on clinical need and can be subject to some delays. Check at the time of booking the time which should be allowed to be in time for appointments. This service cannot be used to transport to A&E but might be available for transport from A&E.
    Medical Services Transport covers all hospitals where treatment is funded by East and North Herts NHS Trust, including Lister Hospital, Mount Vernon, Papworth, Princess Alexandra, Addenbrookes, QEII, Hertford County, Herts and Essex, St Margarets Epping, Bedford and Watford General.
    There is no charge for this service.

    CVS Community Car Scheme A service provided using volunteer drivers for East Herts residents who cannot access public transport and do not have access to a car to get to essential appointments, due to age, frailty, disability or rural isolation. Drivers will wait up to two hours while people attend appointments. Some drivers may have wheelchair accessible cars.
    You will need to register as a member.
    Bookings should be made at least 48 hours in advance of any proposed journey.
    Charges: 45p per mile from the driver’s home; plus any car parking charges.
