Closure of THACS

The last THACS Annual General Meeting was held on 26th February 2024. It went smoothly and all of the proposals were approved. including the distribution of the bulk of the society's funds to appropriate local organisations.  After a break for refreshments, local historian Linda Gilley gave an interesting talk on the history of Tewin.

That AGM marked the formal closure of the society. For further information, please see the minutes of the AGM here.

THACS contributed to Tewin life for twenty-two years, encouraging and facilitating interest and participation in all aspects of village horticulture, arts and crafts. Sadly, this has now come to an end. The farewell event was a tea party in Tewin Memorial Hall attended by more than 60 guests. Gentle easy-listening music played in the background as the tea, sandwiches and cakes were served and enjoyed. The rolling slide show of pictures from THACS events prompted the sharing of happy memories, with lots of conversation and banter. It was a fitting end.
