This was the first time THACS and Friends of Tewin had jointly organised a village event. It was designed to help people get out and about in a safe manner as Covid-19 lockdown restrictions were eased.
Twenty five floral displays were on show and there was a lovely variety of plants to see. It was clear that a great deal of work had been put into the displays and they gave rise to much enthusiastic comment.
It was noticeable that the selection of plants, items used, and trail clues were incorporated into the design of the displays to excellent effect.
Fortunately the weather stayed fine - but not too hot for people following the route and completing the Village Trail questions.
The teas and cakes on sale on Lower Green proved very popular, and it was great to see people sitting together enjoying a cuppa! Friends of Tewin raised about £400, which will be added to the Classic Car Show income and be used to support village activities.
