For our art competition adults were invited to submit pictures in any or all of three categories: - Shadows, Flower, Waterscape. This attracted 6 adult exhibitors who submitted a total of 12 pictures between them. Children could enter a picture of any subject and there were numerous colourful pictures, especially from younger children.
All of the entries were anonymised and then judged by Jude O’Sullivan (who regularly judges at our spring shows). The results are as follows: -

When it came to prizes for the adults, there were winners’ certificates for each of the three categories and a best-in-show certificate, which was awarded to Terry Brand for his dramatic winning picture in the Waterscape category.
For children, there were small age-appropriate 1st prizes for each age group. We had intended to award a prize certificate to the picture selected as best in show by the judge, but this proved to be impractical because of the wide range of artistic ability between the age groups.
In addition to these prizes the judge gave detailed written feedback on many of the entries, which will be appreciated by the artists.
Congratulations to all of the winners and our thanks to all those who took part.
Coronavirus precautions meant that we could not open the hall for public viewing of the work. However, you can see photographs of the entries in the eight albums below. There is one for each adult category and one for each children's age group (there were no entries for Years 3 & 4). Each album starts with the top three place winners and the caption of each photograph shows the name of the artist.
