Welcome to 'Screen On The Green' Tewin
Our last film for this season will be on Monday 15th June when we are showing a British comedy/drama Calendar Girls (2003). Based on true events it tells the story of a group of women in Yorkshire who pose nude for a charity calendar to raise money for leukaemia research.
With a stellar cast - Helen Mirren, Julie Walters, Annette Crosbie, Penelope Wilton and Linda Bassett - the film was highly successful and well regarded for its heart-felt funny and charming portrayal of the women's experiences.
Screen on the Green takes a break in July and August but in the meantime we'll be selecting a varied programme of films for next season. As Chairman I'd like to than the great team of helpers who give their time and energy to make Film Nights such fun and of course to all the loyal supporters who come along on the night. Have a great summer!
