Welcome to 'Screen On The Green' Tewin.

Monday 16th June marks our last film night in the current season.  We will be showing Chinatown one of the great movies of the 1970s starring Jack Nicholson, Faye Dunaway and John Huston.

Directed by Roman Polanski and inspired by real-life scandal, it's a tale of deceit, murder and sinister family secrets.  Nicholson plays Jake Gittes, a private detective uncovering corruption in 1930s Los Angeles, a desert city where water equals power.  It's a stylish film with great performances from Nicholson and Dunaway and it won many awards including an Oscar for the sharp, witty screenplay.

Screen on the Green is taking a break in July and August but in the meantime we will be busy selecting films for the new season.  As Chairman I'd like to thank the great team of helpers who give their time and energy to make Film Nights such fun and to all the loyal supporters who come along on the night.

We'll be back on the 16th September, so put that date in the diary now.  In the meantime, enjoy the summer!!
