Welcome to 'Screen On The Green' Tewin
This month's film, showing on Monday16th Marcch is The Ballad of Wallis Island, (2025)
It is a heartwarming off-the-wall British comedy/drama directed by James Griffiths and starring Tim Key, Tom Basden and Carey Mulligan. It tells the story of Charles, a lonely eccentric millionaire living on a remote island who hires his favourite band to come and play just for him. A poignant, charming low-budget film with sometimes laugh-out-loud humour, it makes for an easy watch on a winter's evening. It was filmed in Wales and features some interesting folk/rock music specifically written for the film.
The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2025 and has featured in various film festivals since then.
The price of tickets has remained the same since 2012. This year we are increasing the price to £5 which remains very good value for a night out at Tewin Memorial Hall.
