THACS Art Workshop

Tuesday 12 November 2019
10:00 to 16:00

Tutor: Jude O’Sullivan

This year’s workshop is all about mono printing which is the most painterly method of printing. It can be used to enhance paintings and drawings or be used in its own right. You can see colourful examples here.

You will be printing from natural forms and man-made objects to produce a series of experimental images using oil based inks. Jude will be showing you how you can cut your prints into shapes which you can use to make your own prints or individual greetings cards. All printing inks, rollers and paper will be supplied for the day.

This course is suitable for all abilities. It is not necessary to be able to draw to achieve great results. Health and safety note - the inks we will be using are Caligo safe wash inks and clean up using vegetable oil and soap and water.

The course will be held in the beautiful Bramfield Village Hall. Its ceiling to floor windows give a very special light. The format is to bring something to share for lunch. Tea and coffee are provided.
