The Village Archive of historical material has been catalogued and sorted by
David Rixson and is held in a plan chest at the village hall. It comprises old
documents from former societies such as the minutes of the horticultural
associations, display material from exhibitions held in here in 1995, 2000,
2003, and 2009, and various books and leaflets of historical interest about the
village and Hertfordshire. This material is intended to be made more available
to people studying local history in future, when it is relocated to a new building
to be erected near the church.
