A couple of the wonderful classic cars at the 2026 show

TEWIN CLASSIC CAR & CRAFT SHOW 2026

The lovely sunny weather had been with us through most of June, July and into August – would it last!!  It did, and, once again, we were blessed with a beautiful August day for the Car Show and, by 12 noon, the Green was once again filled with around 500 Classic Cars, 40 Craft Stalls and what seemed like the majority of Tewin residents, plus visitors from near and afar, enjoying the sun and the lively atmosphere.

Where would we be without our classic cars and their proud owners.   We had reached our target number for pre-booked cars well before the cut off date this year but, in setting that date, it allows us a certain amount of spaces for classics coming in on the day.  We are also very lucky to have a loyal group of Car Clubs who join us every year and it is nice to be able to welcome them back and get to know them as friends over the years. We do our best to keep the cars parked together as a club with their Gazebo and comfy chairs.

We must say a big thank you as well to our local Sponsors, Kevin Wing of Wings of Welwyn - he must have enjoyed himself last year as he joined us again this year  - and, as a joint sponsor, we were delighted to welcome  ALLWOOD Automobiles with us for the first time. Between the two of them they put on a pretty impressive display of vehicles of all shapes and sizes – even a big shiny tractor found its way in!!

This year we were also pleased to have with us for the first time the Smokeshed Food Truck, I hope they enjoyed the experience, and James and Jess from the Chicken Strip were back with us again.  Both units were busy, keeping us fed and Ben’s lovely new Tewin Country Wedding Bar, kept us hydrated.  We can’t forget Frank’s Ice Cream vans,  they were definitely kept busy, and our ‘resident group’, the Monday Mojos Band who we were pleased to welcome back.

There are always a lot of people to thank. We are a small Committee and without our loyal volunteers the show wouldn’t happen. So, an enormous thank you to everyone who volunteered to make sure the day was another Tewin Village success and to all of you who joined us on the day, in what ever capacity, we hope you enjoyed yourselves.

We are always pleased to received your thoughts/feedback on the show, ideas for something different perhaps, what you like or don’t, which ever way round it is, or, maybe,
you would like to be involved in some way with the car show.  We would be delighted to hear from you – our usual e-mail address is: friendsoftewin@gmail.com.
