Tewin Under Fives is
based in the heart of the village, close to Welwyn and
Hertford. It provides a welcoming and supportive environment,
providing the opportunity for children to develop through play.
For children from 2 years and 9 months, the pre-school offer a wide range of both indoor and outdoor activities. We have a large secure multi-surface garden and take advantage of our location in lovely countryside.
Sessions run Monday to Friday, 9am – midday during term time.
The pre-school is run by a highly qualified team, with a high staff to child ratio.
A lunch club runs on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays between 1200 and 1255, subject to demand.
Tewin Under Fives has strong links with Tewin Cowper school, helping the children who move on there make the adjustment well to ‘big school ‘.
As well as the connection with the local school the team at Tewin Under Fives work closely with Tewin Tots, a fabulous village nursery (taking younger children from 21 months to 3 years).
Tewin Under Fives achieved a ‘Good’ in all areas in the most recent Ofsted inspection of January 2009, just 4 months after the implementation of the new national curriculum for this age group. An achievement we are rightly proud of.
