TEWIN VILLAGE HALL

The Memorial Hall

The Memorial Hall, TewinThis imposing brick built Village Hall was built in the 1920's and stands at the corner of the village green in Tewin. It has recently (within the last three years) been refurbished and redecorated including disabled access and disabled toilet facilities. It has its own car park for approximately 30 cars and is well positioned in Hertfordshire and has close access to the A1(M).

It was built on land given by Lord Desborough and funded by Sir Otto Beit as a memorial to those who died in the First World War.

It is ideal for use by societies, clubs and individuals as well as public meetings. In addition it is available for private functions such as weddings, discos and parties. It has a music and dancing licence but no licence to sell alcohol or for the staging of plays. However it is a suitable venue if the hirer obtains his/her own licence individually or through an existing licensee.
