Carols around the Christmas Tree

Some photographs to show the resilience and community spirit alive and well in Tewin.  Despite the conditions we all got there to savour mince pies and hot mulled wine and chocolate.  Santa Claus even popped by for the children.  The village Brownies sang carols and the band kept playing all through the evening without a whimper about the snow flakes flowing into their pipework with no adverse effect on the sound quality!!!
 
Friends of Tewin would like to thank everyone who attended and also the volunteers on the night who helped to make the event such a success. (See pictures - taken by David Laming and John Ling).

Classic Cars 2009

A wonderful hot day helped to make our annual Classic Car Show the best so far. With over 180 cars and bikes on display there was a vehicle for everyone to enjoy.

Entertainment was provided by the St. Albans Morris Men and Ebony Majorettes. There were also craft, food produce and charity stalls where people could browse and spend their money. For the children there was a bouncy castle as well as the Upper Green Play area. Homemade cakes with teas/coffees were served by our local ladies as well as an ice cream van, a hot donut van and Rostaholics serving burgers etc. Hundreds of people attended making it a lovely family day for all. The day was free to park and enter but any proceeds go back into the village for future events.
